THINK I'LL GO GET SAVED

When I get feeling tired Striving with my all To live the Lord's commandments And magnify my call; When I’m so disappointed In ways that I've behaved, I look to modern churches And think I'll go get saved. I'll get a Priest to learn the word, I'll listen at my pew; Accept the Lord and say ""Amen"" And tip him when he's through. And I won't have to work no more, Salvation's guaranteed. And I won't need my conscience then At last my lusts are freed. But, nope; I'm stuck a man who tries To live God's every rule; 'Cause I could not have faith in Christ If He were such a fool.
