AN INCREDIBLY TOUCHING LOVE POEM

My heart is so entwined with thine; My affection so complete; My love is more than simply for Your countenance so sweet. The curve of your face is soft and smooth, But if, in a long, long while, You wrinkle up like a dirty old shirt At the bottom of the laundry pile; If you're as broad as a sea-going barge, And heavy as a D-8 Cat; I'll still love my skinny little girl Within those folds of fat. If your blow-drier blows a fuse And burns off all your hair, I won't call you Elmer Fudd, Or smugly smirk and stare. It wouldn't matter none to me, For I hereby promise this; If you get ugly I'll still stay true…. Though I'll sure close my eyes when we kiss.
