I'LL GO WHERE I DANG-WELL FEEL LIKE

I'LL GO WHERE I DANG-WELL FEEL LIKE (Sung to the tune of ""I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go"" and with apologies to the original author, Mary Brown.) It may not be on the mountain height Or over the stormy sea, It may not be at the battle’s front My Lord will have need of me. But if, by the Bishopric's voice He calls, To paths that I would not prefer, I’ll answer, Dear Lord, with my hands on my hips, ""I think I'll just have to defer"". I’ll go where you want me to go, Dear Lord, Over mountain or plain or sea; I’ll do what you want me to do, Dear Lord, If it is convenient for me. Perhaps today there are loving words Which Jesus would have me speak; But if it’s to those to whom I home teach I’ll promise to do it next week. The scouts would take too much time, Dear Lord, And primary’s sometimes a pain; But, still, I would build you an ark if you asked, Or at least if it started to rain. I’ll go where you want me to go, Dear Lord, Over mountain or plain or sea; I’ll do what you want me to do, Dear Lord, If it is convenient for me. There’s surely somewhere a lowly place In earth’s harvest fields so wide, Where I may labor if my schedule fits And do just the things I decide. The Bishopric claims that they prayed to Thee, Then felt to give me this call; But, hey, they’re just men and this calling’s too big, Or am I just being too small? I’ll try what you ask me to do, Dear Lord, I’ll search for the lessons therein; I’ll only become what Thou wants me to be, When I have the faith to begin.
