I wonder at the comfort found As my family comes to view; Safety, health, and wealth abound, Each day we're blessed anew. And it frightens me to contemplate On pain and death and war; Though I'm untouched, I've learned of late Man knows not what's in store. So before the winds come blowing That drive me to my knees, I'll lift my eyes toward Heaven While life is still a breeze; And pray for dedication And a zeal for righteous cause; And more appreciation For His eternal laws. I'll leave to Him the future; His paths are straight and sure; And, rich or poor, my heart shall know The meaning of secure.
